Michelle Wilson

Michelle is licensed in Illinois, Missouri & Florida

Michelle Wilson (they/she) is a registered dietitian who is licensed in Illinois and Missouri. She received her Bachelor of Science through Fontbonne University as a University Scholar and her Master of Science through Saint Louis University as summa cum laude. She is working towards obtaining her Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian credential through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals. She specializes in the LGBTQIA+ community, completing graduate research on nutrition and eating disorders in the transgender population.

 

She started her profession as a dietitian at the YMCA and currently works for Alsana Treatment Centers at both the residential and PHP/IOP locations in addition to her outpatient services through Branz Nutrition Counseling. She also volunteers through the Missouri Eating Disorders Association to provide Feed the Facts eating disorder awareness curriculum to local middle schools and high schools.

Michelle is a member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians (IFEDD), the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and belongs to the BHN (Behavioral Health Nutrition) national dietetic practice group.

 

Michelle believes in a holistic approach to nutrition, looking at the whole body and mind to help clients improve their relationship with food. She loves using experiential therapy and modeling during her sessions. She aims to help clients make peace by fueling themselves and hopes to support her clients towards being able to enjoy their eating experiences and feel comfortable in their bodies.

Courtney Kerr

Courtney is licensed in Missouri

Courtney (she/her/hers) is a Registered Dietitian who attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and graduate in 2017 with a Bachelors of Science in Medical Dietetics with dual emphasis in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. Later that same year she became a certified Yoga Instructor.  

Courtney found her passion for working with the eating disorder population while interning with Mizzou athletics during college. She started her professional career working at an eating disorder treatment center in St. Louis and saw patients of all ages in all different levels of care. After moving away from St. Louis, Courtney transitioned into an outpatient eating disorder dietitian role. 

Courtney enjoys helping clients rediscover that there can be joy in food and movement. She recognizes that these are areas of great difficulty for many clients and likes to use a collaborative approach to find solutions that are realistic and practical while ensuring physical and mental needs are met. Courtney's goal is to help clients feel capable of nourishing their bodies and to become more aware of their personal triggers. 

Courtney is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Missouri Dietetic Association

Alexis Hughes

Alexis is licensed in Missouri

Alexis (she/her/hers) is a registered and licensed dietitian who specializes in adult and adolescent eating disorders. She received her Bachelor of Science in Medical Dietetics and Nutrition & Exercise Physiology from the University of Missouri-Columbia.She enjoys helping clients rediscover healthy relationships with food and exercise.  Alexis is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Missouri Dietetic Association. She is certified through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in Child and Adolescent Weight Management. She also belongs to the national dietetic practice groups BHN (Behavioral Health Nutrition) and SCAN (Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition).

Katie Jackson

Katie is licensed in Missouri

Katie (she/her/hers) is a Registered Dietitian who graduated from Purdue University in May of 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Nutrition, Fitness, and Health. She was a member of the Coordinated Program to complete her dietetic internship, which provided rotations in community nutrition, food service management, and medical nutrition therapy. Katie is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Missouri Dietetic Association. Prior to working in the field of eating disorders, Katie worked as a Nutrition Educator at Operation Food Search where she led nutrition and cooking classes for people of all ages. Katie enjoys assisting her patients to remove the stress associated with eating and learn how to have a healthy and flexible relationship with food where no foods are off-limits.​

Erica Branz

Erica is licensed in Illinois & Missouri

Erica (she/her/hers) graduated from Saint Louis University with a Nutrition and Dietetics Degree and completed her Dietetic Residency and Master's Degree in Nutrition and Wellness at Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. She is a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian Supervisor with IAEDP (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals) and a registered Yoga Teacher. She has over 15 years of working with clients to help repair their relationship with food and is on the St. Louis IAEDP Chapter board.

She started her career working at a local eating disorder treatment center seeing patients in residential, partial, and intensive outpatient treatment before opening up her outpatient practice Branz Nutrition Counseling, LLC in 2012. 

She helps her clients work toward food freedom by redefining health, ditching the restrict-binge cycle, and embracing intuitive eating. Erica will help you break up with the scale and find peace with your natural body size. Her goal is to empower people to discover freedom from the cycle of dieting, step away from shame and guilt and fully restore their body image!

She specializes in disordered eating, intuitive eating, body image, and overall family nutrition.

Katie Valley

Administration/Virtual Assistant

Katie (she/her/hers) is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and Licensed Body Positive Facilitator who graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelors of Science in Public Health Education

Katie has been in the health and wellness field for 13 years, and recently discovered her passion for dismantling diet culture and promoting body acceptance through facilitating body image support groups. 

She joined Branz Nutrition in 2022 and provides essential administrative support to the team.
