What can I expect from recovery coaching?
Recovery coaching is like a mini check in with another member of your team to keep recovery stable and intact versus feeling motivated a day or two post session with your RD or another member of your team. We often see motivation tanks 2-3 days post the session as life happens and recovery might get pushed to the backburner. Having that mini recovery coaching check in allows that motivation to ride more stable throughout the week and not tank allowing for the end goal to come around sooner than later.
Ongoing Nutrition and Recovery Coaching for Anorexia:
Ongoing Recovery coaching is beneficial for additional support, accountability and guidance that can often substitute the need for a higher level of care pending your dietitians and team's recommendations. A quick 30-minute check in can do wonders for one’s recovery.
Does insurance cover nutrition therapy for anorexia?
We are in-network with many insurance companies. Insurance-based nutrition counseling is based on your insurance provider's approval and specific insurance plan. We can only provide services based on what they allow, following their specific guidelines. Such perimeters include:
Limitations in visits
Requiring a certain amount of time in between appointments
No additional support between appointments

While nutritional counseling can be beneficial for various conditions, we find that, specifically for those suffering from disordered eating, continuous support and ongoing accountability is the game changer in achieving recovery.
We believe that full recovery is possible with the right support and treatment. We look forward to being part of your healing process.
